This site should work however you use the web.

We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. If something here blocks you, tell us and we will fix it, and we will tell you when it is fixed.

The standard we build to

This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we test against the Level AA additions in WCAG 2.2. That is the benchmark used by the Americans with Disabilities Act in practice and by Section 508 for federal procurement.

What that means in practice

  • Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring on whatever is focused.
  • The page content does not depend on JavaScript. With scripts blocked, the full text of every page is still there.
  • Text contrast is at least 4.5:1, and the borders of form fields and controls are at least 3:1.
  • Every image that carries meaning has alternative text. Images that are purely decorative are hidden from screen readers rather than described.
  • Anything that moves on its own can be stopped. The ad reel and the video on the system page each have a pause control, and pausing is remembered on your next visit.
  • If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, animation is off before you ask, and moving content starts paused.
  • Pages use real headings in order, landmarks, and a skip link, so screen-reader navigation works.
  • Tap targets are at least 24 by 24 pixels.
  • Forms label every field, describe errors in words rather than colour alone, and move focus to the first field that needs attention.

How we test

Every release is checked with automated and manual testing: axe-core across every page at phone and desktop widths, Lighthouse, keyboard-only navigation, and a pass with scripting disabled. Automated tools catch perhaps a third of real barriers, so the manual pass is the one that matters.

Where we know we fall short

Two things worth naming:

  • The ad reel shows phone mock-ups of ads we produced. The interface details drawn inside those phones are decorative and hidden from screen readers; the ad itself is described in its alternative text.
  • Case studies and blog posts are written and reviewed by people, so a specific page may lag the standard between publication and our next audit. Tell us and we will move it to the front of the queue.

We have not commissioned a third-party audit or published a VPAT. If you need either for a procurement process, ask and we will talk about it.

Tell us if something blocks you

If any part of this site is hard or impossible to use, we want to hear it, and you do not need to explain why or name a guideline.

We reply within one business day. If the fix is quick we ship it that week; if it is larger we will tell you what we are doing and roughly when. Either way, if you gave us a way to reach you, we will come back and confirm when it is done.

If you asked us for something on this site and could not get it, tell us what you needed and we will get it to you another way in the meantime, by email, over the phone, or in whatever format works.
